ARMO-Group, part of ARMO group of companies, has become premium member of the Russian Green Building Council. The company’s function within the Council will be development and implementation of standards for green building systems in Russia considering local specifics and climate. 

The Russian Green Building Council was established in November, 2009. As early as in December it became official member of the World Green Building Council.

The main task of the Council is increasing green building awareness among construction professionals, government officials, and media. The target of the organization is to prove that green technologies are part and parcel of real estate industry.

In view of this target, the Council addresses the issues of increasing the number of certified buildings, as well as of popularization of “green standards’ as one of the most effective means of adding extra value to the building. To this end, the organization is creating a national standard for green building.

One of priority activities of the Council is development of a knowledge base covering green technologies and materials, as well as search of new solutions for their use in local conditions.

Furthermore, the Council strives to bring together industry leaders and all interested in sustainable construction market and in influencing its development.
