ARMO-Systems Becomes Official Distributor of Sony IP Video Surveillance Equipment
ARMO-Systems has signed a distribution agreement with Sony Electronics to deliver and sell all lines of Sony CCTV equipment, and to provide consulting and after-sales services. This manufacturer’s product range boasts 1,3 and 3 megapixel box and dome cameras, vandal-proof, PTZ and outdoor models. In addition, Sony manufactures 4 – 64 channel NVRs, 42”-65” Full HD LCD monitors, software for multi-brand IP video systems, etc. All Sony equipment will be now available from ARMO-Systems stock in Moscow, regional ARMO offices, as well as dealer company offices.
During its long history Sony has achieved great success in production of professional video systems. Basic elements for CCTV cameras - sensors and processors developed and manufactured by Sony have advanced features and are used in cameras produced by many famous manufacturers (e.g., such CCD sensors as Super HAD CCD II and EXview HAD CCD II). Among the company’s innovative developments Exmor CMOS sensors deserve special attention, providing IP cameras with higher sensitivity and better color rendering. Due to use of Sony Effio and Effio-E series of processors, cameras can generate video with up to 700 TVL resolution, offer wide dynamic range, support 2D/3D noise reduction and other features.
Wide range of IP cameras offered by Sony can meet any customer’s demands for building video surveillance system of any size and purpose. E.g., HD and Full HD 1,3 and 3 megapixel cameras come in classic design including IR LED bullet cameras, and under a dome – mini / full-size vandal-proof models, as well as outdoor cameras in IP66 – rated housing. All last-generation Sony IP cameras use H.264, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG codecs, while some models are supplemented with Squared Stream feature and offer dual video streaming with different resolutions.
To improve image quality, Sony IP cameras use innovative proprietary technologies. Thus, models using View-DR technology and XDNR noise reduction can operate in various lighting conditions including non-uniform and changeable lighting environment. In new generation of IP devices Sony Corporation uses DEPA Advanced video analysis system, providing extremely accurate metadata about images sent to recording and monitoring devices.
Bundled with each IP camera, Sony offers free RealShot Manager (RSM) Lite software, which allows to administer a 9-camera video system. To control a larger video surveillance system which can include both Sony’s and third-party devices, full-featured RSM Advanced version is recommended, featuring client-server architecture, user-friendly multi-language interface, and 1, 4, 9, 16, or 32 channel licenses. The software allows to utilize state-of-the-art search engines, including Post VMD, VMF, as well as various image and sound processing and playback algorithms.
Sony’s analog camera family includes compact box and dome cameras, as well as super high resolution cameras with iBLC (intelligent backlight compensation), ATR-Lite (automatic tone reproduction), ATW-Pro (automatic white balance), and other features. Sony HD/Full HD 42” (FWD-S42H1) - 65” (GWD-L65H1) LCD monitors provide high quality video display.
Sony’s NSR-1000 series NVRs can serve as a core of video surveillance system. They record video from standard and high resolution analog and IP cameras, as well as archived video search and playback. Depending on the model, NVRs can support 20 - 64 cameras and offer 1TB – 16 TB total HDD capacity. These Sony NVRs allow to build video systems of any scale – from budget (e.g., based on 4-channel NSR-S10) to multichannel systems with external SAS storage. All NVRs support proprietary DEPA technology and are compatible with third-party equipment.
